Branch Principal

A Branch Principal of his independent practice of Raymond James based in London, Kamal is responsible for the construction and management of all discretionary and advisory investment portfolios for his Branch.

Kamal’s strength has always been his service to clients. He is well grounded in ensuring that clients are guided to having a realistic approach to investing and understand potential risk before commencing any relationship. He is highly experienced in managing client portfolios from mass affluent to ultra high worth clients, understanding their nuances and differing requirements over the life of individual portfolios.

In order to understand market risk and expectations, Kamal runs his proprietary financial models to forecasts on sector and country specific expected returns and volatility that can be useful for tactical allocation strategies.

Prior to setting up his branch in November 2014, Kamal worked as Head of Asset Management at Daniel Stewart & Co plc and chaired their Asset Allocation and Investment Committee. His primary responsibility at Daniel Stewart was to create bespoke risk-adjusted investment portfolios for private clients and charities. As chair of the committee that consisted of analysts and economists, he ensured that all assets and investments selected for discretionary and advisory portfolios were thoroughly researched and discussed before selection and implementation.

His previous experience also includes working as a Senior Asset Manager at Collins Stewart (now part of Canaccord Genuity). His role was to manage discretionary portfolios for ultra-high net worth clients and provided them with wealth management advice. Clients included senior executives of FT100 and technology companies as well as senior partners of Magic Circle law firms (Linklaters, Freshfields and Slaughter & May).

A Chartered Fellow and Chartered Wealth Manager of The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
